Helping families navigate health and education crises,
one step at a time
Meet Tina
First and foremost, I’m a mom of three – two of whom are neurodivergent. Like many parents, I’ve had to navigate the complex and often frustrating worlds of health and education on behalf of my children. That has included seeking out therapists, pursuing clinical diagnoses, and struggling to find the right school environments that support their unique needs.
Professionally, I bring 15 years of experience as a strategy consultant, working with healthcare providers, hospital systems, health insurance companies, health tech startups, government agencies, nonprofits, and philanthropic foundations. Over the past five years, my focus has shifted to what matters most to me: building better systems for children and families. I’ve partnered with policy leaders, early learning programs, and prenatal coalitions to improve access, equity, and outcomes in early childhood, education, and mental/behavioral health.
Through both my work and my personal experience, I’ve seen how challenging it is to navigate the very systems that are meant to support our children. The healthcare system, designed to diagnose, treat, and intervene, can be overwhelming and hard to access. The education system, meant to provide support, accommodations, and opportunity, often feels rigid and confusing, especially for kids who don’t fit the mold.
As parents, we’re often left to figure it all out alone: juggling therapy appointments, advocating for services, decoding school jargon, and trying to make the right choices for our children’s wellbeing. It’s a lot – and it can feel isolating and exhausting.
That’s where I come in.
As a strategy consultant, I’ve spent my career solving complex problems. Now, I bring those same skillsets (research, systems thinking, analysis, and strategic planning) to help families. I work alongside parents to make sense of the maze, connect the dots, and build a plan that feels thoughtful, clear, and aligned with their values and goals.
While I’m currently based in Tacoma, WA with my husband and our three children, I’ve had the opportunity to live all over the U.S. – including New York City, New Jersey, New England, the DC metro area, Baltimore, Atlanta, the Bay Area, and Durham, North Carolina – as well as abroad in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and China. As an only child of Chinese immigrants, I deeply understand the importance of building community, connection, and belonging wherever I go. I hope to bring that same spirit to the families I work with – no matter where they are in the U.S.
I can help.
