Frequently Asked Questions

What’s unique about this process?

I bring a blend of expertise that’s hard to find in one place. I’m an experienced management consultant who has worked with Fortune 50 executives, national and academic hospital systems, and federal and state policy leaders. My background includes deep experience in research, analysis, strategic planning, and decision-making support. I also understand the U.S. health and education systems inside and out.

Everything I do – listening, researching, analyzing, reaching out to providers, gathering answers, sharing resources, and helping you make a plan – is centered on your family’s values, goals, and needs.

I work with parents and caregivers, not instead of their licensed professionals. I’m not a therapist or teacher, but I do know how the systems work, and how to navigate them effectively. I’ve supported many families through developmental, social-emotional, and educational challenges. I gather and organize information quickly, then present it back to you in a clear, thoughtful, and actionable way.

The goal? Take the mental load off your plate, so you can focus on being a parent, and keep your day job running smoothly.

What does the process look like?

Most projects follow this general structure:

  1. Intake: You (and your spouse/partner, if applicable) complete a reflective intake to clarify your situation, what you already know, and your goals.

  2. Planning: We align on a timeline, scope of work, and fee structure. Once that’s agreed upon, we formalize the agreement and you become a client.

  3. Research & Strategy: I dig into the work, conducting research, identifying evidence-based solutions, speaking with providers and experts (in health and/or education), and generating a set of options.

  4. Synthesis: I’ll deliver a clear, easy-to-understand overview of findings, highlight key decision points, and outline next steps.

  5. Ongoing Support: We meet weekly, biweekly, or as needed to track progress and explore options together.

  6. Conclusion: By the end, the goal is for you to feel informed, confident, and ready to make empowered decisions that align with your family’s goals.

How long does the process take?

It varies. We’ll begin with free consultations to determine whether this is the right fit. Sometimes a brief conversation or small action plan is all you need – no formal project required.

For more involved needs, timelines typically range from a few weeks to a few months. For example:

  • If you need to choose a school (public, private, homeschool) within the next month, we’ll move quickly to get you the information to support decision-making.

  • If you suspect your child is twice exceptional (2e) and want to better understand their neurodivergence, identify supports, and develop a customized learning strategy, that may take 2–3 months or more.

No matter the timeline, we’ll work together to clarify your goals and move at the pace that fits your family.

How do you collaborate with other providers (therapists, educators, etc.)?

If you'd like me to reach out to specific providers or experts on your behalf, we’ll first align on a high-level, non-identifying summary of your child’s situation. I’m happy to join calls or meetings with you (and your child, if appropriate).

I do not accept or store personal health information (PHI), clinical diagnoses, or educational testing files. However, you can share relevant information during our sessions if you’d like support interpreting terminology, trends, or results. For anything clinical, I’ll refer you back to your licensed professionals.

My role is to:

  • Ask targeted questions

  • Identify fit, availability, and alignment with your needs

  • Gather relevant details like wait times, services offered, cost, and values

  • Help you make informed, confident choices

How many clients do you work with at a time?

I keep my caseload intentionally small, typically 7–10 clients at a time, so I can give each family dedicated attention.

You’ll have a standing weekly timeslot, plus access to me via email and text with reasonable response times. We can also use asynchronous tools to stay in touch between sessions.

What types of clients are a good fit? What types of problems do you help solve?

During intake, we’ll go through a “fit test” to define your goals and determine whether I’m the right person to help. I don’t promise one “right answer,” and I won’t make decisions for you, but I will guide you through a clear, well-supported decision-making process.

I work best with clients who are:

  • Willing to invest time and energy in understanding their child’s needs

  • Curious, reflective, and open to learning

  • Thoughtful about balancing input from experts, data, and their own instincts

  • Focused not just on outcomes (like better grades or school placement) but on building long-term resilience, confidence, agency, and emotional intelligence in their child

Whether you're navigating a school decision, exploring a neurodivergent diagnosis, advocating for a 2e learner, or building a holistic support plan, we’ll co-create a path forward.
